Farmers Markets now open in Muskoka

One of my favourite weekly routines is a trip (or two) to one of the local Farmer’s Markets in Muskoka. There is one almost every day of the week and in every town where you’ll find locally grown strawberries, tomatoes, blueberries, smoked trout, fresh baked Chelsea buns, handmade crafts, honey, your weekend veggies and entrees and more.

Thursdays: Port Carling

Every Thursday June 28 – August 30, 2018 from 9:00am to 2:00pm at the end of Bailey Street in Hanna Park  on the picturesque Indian River in Port Carling, Ontario.

Offering a fantastic selection of locally grown produce, delicious
fine foods and hand crafted artistry,  there’s something for everyone!

This year I discovered Without Reservations,  small batch, artisan, online food company focused on creating and delivering mouth-watering, sous vide cooked, bistro-inspired fare for home enjoyment from seasonal, local ingredients. I bought chicken stuffed with artichokes and mushrooms… mmm… and duck confit. You can order in advance and pick your order up at the market.
