The SWS Marina on Lake Rosseau in Minett (Juddhaven Road) has become the home of some of the best Toronto satellite stores and local pop-ups. If you are looking for a little retail therapy outside of the 6ix, here is the scene of it all. This July 1st Canada Day weekend festivities include lots of bubbly served, Caesar Bars, live music and yoga classes and even fireworks.
Even better than a food truck, this travelling fashion playground complete with dressing room rolls into SWS Marina this long weekend and the next long weekend too. Fashion Truck proudly features a number of LA import lines with off-the- shoulder tops galore and Quay sunglasses, has flirty and fun clothes and accessories.
Imported directly from the street of the same name in Toronto, some sophisticated New York, L.A. and London imports including great Kayudesign clutches, luxe-boho tunic dresses from Talitha, Janessa Leone hats, Solid & Striped bathing suits and Rixo London long and short dresses…totally unique.
We hear that McPherson Ave PopUp is celebrating this Canada Day weekend serving up lots of bubbly this weekend to celebrate. Open all summer.

Beautiful wood work Owner/ designer Michael Balfour is a local resident who does the most incredible custom designed word work. We bought the Canadian Flag to hang outside in the woods. He has dinosaur- decorated toy chests, dock and deck storage furniture, patio planters and even eco-friendly toys.
The Canadian Pop up that started it all in the SWS Marina Village, reportedly has a “Caesar Bar” on July 1st, in addition to new Lulu stock arriving almost daily. This popup is open all summer long.
Other popups: Ripe Juice Bar serving up smoothies and pressed juices. Our favourite waxing spot, Waxon Wax Bar now open, Snapdragon clothing boutique.
In addition to their legendary butter tarts (maple bacon!) and Blueberry Muffins, Abbey’s now serves gelato and soft serve ice cream.
Now with a full summer schedule, Power Yoga classes in the Boathouse this Sunday will feature live music in addition to the usual amazing twisty turny stuff. Even with a gentle rain falling, there is nothing like yoga while watching the loons amid the lily pads.
While you’re there, drop into the SWS Marina store, shop for Canada Day gear and fill out a ballet at SWS Marina on Canada Day to win “winter storage for a year” or a 3 hour Flyboard Clinic at your dock with Muskoka Flyboard. Cool, dude.
Happy Canada Day from muskokadaily.com… Look forward to seeing you out and about! Tomorrow: what’s going on in Bracebride on Canada Day.
